Layston C of E First School is an outstanding and dynamic school for 4-9 year olds built on three pillars of ethos: Nurture, Church and Forest School. Our children are independent and resilient learners and our staff our innovators who work as a team to ensure all our children achieve to the very best of their ability. We have an exciting opportunity to co-opt a new Community Governor- we are looking for a volunteer who is enthusiastic about working with us to ensure the children at Layston continue to achieve to the best of their ability, in a safe environment. The role would require a volunteer to:

• Commit to attend meetings (one two hour meeting every 6 weeks or so)

• Attend training (usually 2 x 2 hr sessions a year)

• Visits to the school during the school day (usually one a term)

• Work as a team (we are a great team and very welcoming!)
