Buntingford & District Flower Club hold 8 meetings a year held on the last Wednesday of the month at the Benson Hall (opposite the Co-Op). Doors open at 7.00p.m. with demonstrations commencing at 7.30 and ending at approximately 9.30-10.00 p.m. The Club’s first meeting of 2018 took place on the last day of January when demonstrators Peter Bodnan & Stephen Carolan presented “Picture This”, with a series of arrangements inspired by famous artists, including Picasso, Van Gogh and Warhol. Our February meeting will be a workshop entitled “Cake without Calories” led by one of our members; bookings for members have now closed, however visitors are welcome to come along to watch. We resume our usual programme of demonstrations at our meeting on 28 March with a presentation by Lesley Sturdy of NAFAS. These regular flower arranging demonstrations are followed by a raffle in which participants can win the arrangements displayed. We take a break half way through the demonstration for refreshments and friendly chat. The cost of the tea or coffee and biscuits provided is included in the annual subscription of £36. In June and July our regular meetings are replaced by outings (costs paid separately) to gardens or other attractions. There are no meetings in the busy holiday months of August and December. Visitors are welcome at a charge of £6 on the night. After 3 visits they are expected to join us as full members. If you enjoy flowers and learning how to arrange them creatively, why not come along and enjoy a relaxed and colourful evening of Flowers and Fun in the company of fellow enthusiasts. We look forward to welcoming you soon
